Dr. Nidhi Singhal

Dr Nidhi Singhal (she/her) is the Director, Research & Training at Action For Autism, New
Delhi. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Delhi. With
extensive clinical training and experience combined with a strong background in research,
for over two decades, Dr Singhal has been involved in autism research and capacity building
in India and other South Asian countries. She has led several autism-related research
projects in collaboration with other Indian and international universities. Dr Singhal has
extensive experience in providing diagnostic and psychological services and facilitating self-
exploration with autistic individuals. She serves on various Indian and international expert
committees and has authored books and publications. Dr Singhal also facilitates training
programs and sensitisation activities with autistic individuals, families, professionals,
corporates and civic bodies.  Dr Singhal is passionate about creating supports that are
respectful and assist people to have valued roles as contributing members of society, with
full, rich, and meaningful lives. She feels privileged to count several persons on the
spectrum in her circle of friends.
